Anyone here PO the YAMATO - Macross - 1/60 Perfect Trance - VF-1S Roy Focker Ver. [with Option Parts]? What is the difference with previous version? Missed out on previous version & didn't want to pay high price for it. Thanks in advance.
Unless I'm mistaken, this is the DYRL version of Roy's VF-1S, and there are only slight cosmetic differences compared to the TV version. The DYRL version is slightly off-white compared to the TV version's bright white, and I think there's a yellow arrow on the sides of its head or something. Also, the display hands follow the more angular aesthetics of the DYRL animation.
And most obviously, this has the optional parts to fill up the sides of the battroid as well as a faux extendable seat for the pilot exiting through the battroid's head.
Yamato's earlier releases (last two years) were both TV versions. One is a "no frills" version with only the Valk and accessories plus a Roy Fokker pilot, while the other is the Super Valkyrie version with Super parts piloted by Hikaru Ichijou.

Btw, do you remember VF-25G got Tornado parts in the series or the movie? I re-watched some of the series, I can see it has super parts and Fold Booster & Speaker parts.
1 more thing, any luck finding VF-25S renewal ver.?
I didn't watch the movies, bro. Afraid of getting poisoned some more and end up searching for the YF-29 Durandal.
But if you're talking about the series, I don't think so. The last few times Micheal was seen piloting the VF-25G was when Gallia IV blew up, and I think he was still using just the Super parts. Shortly after that there were a couple more missions, before he got killed by the Vajra. In the final battle, Klan was seen using his Valk's Super parts as power armor.
As for the VF-25S, I still haven't found a place that sells it at a reasonable price. And I have no intention of paying those ridiculous prices on evilbay.
Either Bandai reissues it as a single fig or a bundle, or I'm waiting for Yamato to eventually get the license in the next five years or so. In any case, I've waited over ten years for a decent version of the YF-19.
