Lucky star, The new Azumanga Daioh

Lol nothing to do in the office so talk about anime.

Well I watched the first episode of Lucky star yestersday. I won't say much except the story is about a girl who is crazy over online games and etchi manga. (Etchi means sex filled manga).

The story starts out in a classroom much like azumanga daioh. The main character is sitting down with a friend and talks about a chocolate bun. This conversation goes on for the next 5 mins with them talking which part of the bun is the head?!?!?! Lol to add to the stupidity of the anime ( which I love)
the same topic about the bun comes back again and again throughout the entire episode.

LOL SO the question is - IS LUCKY STAR THE NEXT AZUMANGA DAIOH?

Haha...yup...started watch it until episode 8... :Woo:

Actually quite fun to watch this anime...but becoz they are talking alot...so i have to pause down the machine to preview the subtitle all times...

This anime was quite famous in Japan too... :smile:

Some one told me this Lucky Star was same production as Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuttsu...But did realized the voice of Konata Izumi same as Suzumiya Haruhi ~ Aya Hirano... :love:

Now find this anime Original Sound Track in local anime/CD shop here...hope can get it... :Woo:

My answer: No.

Personally, I thought the show is over-rated and pales in comparison to Azumanga Daioh. Nothing really happens in Lucky Star other than all the talking, and the humour is targeted at a select audience. It's not something everyone can get into like Azumanga. I doubt they would have gotten away with all those Suzumiya Haruhi gags if Kyoto Animation weren't producing it.

Good Point Bro, Well I enjoyed it because of the various parodies. My favorite type of movies !
